For the following questions if you'd prefer to upload a video or audio file of yourself verbally responding to the question there will be a space to do that at the end of the section - if you'd like to write out answers, we're flexible about length. We don't want for this application to feel onerous. That said, we recognize that for some people longer answers require more labor and effort and for others shorter answers require more labor and effort. Usually responses are in the range of 100-500 words per question...but we're flexible...maybe just try to keep responses to less than 1,000 words each.

This part doesn't need to be lengthy. Please keep it brief and in list form!!!

 

We know that art doesn't exist in the void, that documentation doesn't always give the full picture, and that titles can be important. So this is an opportunity to help us understand what we are looking at or listening to. If you are adding a sentence or two for context, please keep it short!! some examples are: "This video piece is documentation of a public performance in a park", or "This series of poems is in my zine about winter", "In this series I made one stuffed animal a week for a year".

 

If you didn't upload samples or provide links to specific works - but rather provided a link to your general website - Let us know here what you would like us to focus on, given the work sample parameters.

 

The Dirt Palace is as much of an arts residency as it is a co-habitation experiment. In order to maintain this culture, residents are expected to attend and contribute to a weekly meeting and an additional monthly work day for projects and house maintenance.
